Southampton have re-signed goalkeeper Jamie Jones and mutually terminated Juan Larios’s contract, the club announced.

Jones, 37, re-joins as third choice behind Daniel Peretz and George Long. He has played for several EFL sides and signed for Saints last season without making a first-team appearance.

It is unclear what Jones’s return means for Aaron Ramsdale. The England international has not secured a move in this window.

Larios joined in 2022 from Manchester City as an 18-year-old for around six million pounds. He made six appearances for Saints, five in the Premier League.

He has not played for the first team since a Carabao Cup appearance in August 2024, largely featuring for the under-21s. The Spaniard has also had loans in his homeland with CyD Leonesa and Real Zaragoza.
