FC Bayern win 4-1 against 1 FC Köln, while Harry Kane shines with a brace and Leon Goretzka is given a fitting send-off
In the last Bundesliga match of the 25/26 season, Vincent Kompany largely relied on his regulars. Nevertheless, he caused a small surprise: Josip Stanisic and Michael Olise initially took their places on the bench, with Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl starting instead. Less surprisingly, Leon Goretzka was also in the starting line-up for his last Bundesliga match for FC Bayern
After Goretzka was sent off, the ball started rolling and, as usual, the record champions took control of the game right from the start. And it wasn’t long before the first cheers were heard. After Karl crossed and Kimmich crossed, Harry Kane was in the right place and finished dryly with a volley to make it 1-0 (10′)
Just three minutes later, the Englishman completed his brace: Kimmich slightly tapped in a free-kick from around 20 meters out, allowing Kane to weld the ball through the onrushing wall to make it 2-0 (13′)
The next goal came just five minutes later, but this time for Cologne: El Mala won the ball on the halfway line, set off on a sprint and finished to make it 2-1 (19′)
In the 22nd minute, Karl broke through on the right and found Tom Bischof at the back, who finished dryly into the right corner to make it 3:1 (22′)
The game then calmed down a little, with the record champions continuing to dominate, albeit without scoring another goal. They went in at half-time with a 3:1 lead
The action continued in the second half, with Maina missing a good chance for Cologne to equalize (47′) and Lennart Karl failing to hit the post a little later (53′)
After a corner, Upamecano laid off for Musiala, whose deflected shot narrowly missed the target (64′). Shortly afterwards, it was Jonathan Tah who decisively blocked a shot over the goal in his own penalty area (67′)

Two minutes later, Goretzka found Kane in the center of the box, who shot into the bottom left corner from around 25 meters to make it 4:1 (69′)
In the 83rd minute, it was time for Leon Goretzka to call it a day. The 31-year-old left the Allianz Arena pitch for the last time to thunderous applause and chants. He was replaced by Nicolas Jackson, who was on hand to make it 5:1 (83′)
FC Bayern won 4:1 against 1. FC Köln and celebrated not only the championship but also a season of superlatives. With the five goals against Köln, FC Bayern scored 122 goals in this Bundesliga season. In Europe’s top five leagues, only FC Torino scored more goals in the 1947/48 season.
