Nicolas Madsen flipped the game in the 66th minute with a pinpoint cross, before striking the winner as Queens Park Rangers beat Coventry City 2-1.

Madsen first supplied the equaliser with an inviting delivery from open play that Richard Kone converted, lifting the hosts after they had fallen behind early in the second half.

Moments later, he completed the turnaround with a composed finish into the roof of the net, arriving in the box to punish a loose ball and make his dominance count.

The Dane's output matched the eye test: three attempts with two on target, one goal and one assist, plus 13 successful passes in the final third and five recoveries, underpinning how he linked midfield to attack.

Because he kept receiving between the lines and progressing play under pressure, Madsen repeatedly forced Coventry City's midfield to turn, ensuring Queens Park Rangers controlled the decisive phases after the break.
