Madsen strikes as Queens Park Rangers topple leaders after the restart | OneFootball

Queens Park Rangers beat leaders Coventry City 2-1 at Loftus Road to climb to 11th in the Championship.

Coventry led in the 53rd minute when Josh Eccles glanced in Jack Rudoni's cross.

Richard Kone swept in the equaliser from Nicolas Madsen's delivery (66.). Madsen then lashed the winner into the high centre of the net (73.).

Carl Rushworth kept Coventry in the game with six saves, including early stops from Karamoko Dembele and Harvey Vale. Queens Park Rangers registered eight efforts on target from 15 attempts.

After Dembele departed injured, Daniel Bennie came on and twice tested Rushworth, while Ephron Mason-Clark also went off before the interval.

Coventry City saw most of the ball at 62.5% possession but produced only two shots on target.
