Will Lankshear opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a close-range finish as Oxford United beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-1.
The in-form striker set the tone early on, darting to the right of the six-yard box to turn in Stanley Mills' cross. His movement kept the visitors' back line guessing from the off.
He doubled the advantage with a drilled strike from outside the box into the top right (27.), finishing after linking with Myles Peart-Harris. Lankshear then forced another save before the interval with a low effort from the left side (45.).
After the restart he turned provider, slipping a neat pass for Peart-Harris to finish from the centre of the area (73.). The Owls could not contain his constant runs in behind and across the line.
Lankshear finished with four attempts, three on target, alongside two goals and one assist. He also logged six touches in the box and two key passes, underlining how he led Oxford United's attack throughout.
Oxford United visit Millwall next in the Championship. The Owls host West Bromwich Albion.
