According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica and 34-year-old Inter centre-back Stefan de Vrij have no agreement or negotiations under way.

Despite recent links, nothing is on the table. Any discussion is only expected at the end of the season, when the market begins to take shape and strategic decisions are made.

For now, a move to Benfica is viewed as a remote possibility. Salary is a major obstacle, as the Netherlands international earns high wages in Italy and would need a significant reduction to fit Benfica's finances.

He remains on the shortlist and could be revisited after the campaign, depending on defensive departures and market opportunities. At present there is only distant interest and internal assessment from the Lisbon club.
