Strasborug set to complete Jeyland Mitchell signing | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg Alsace have agreed a deal to sign Jeyland Mitchell (21) from Sturm Graz, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

It is a summer of rebuilding at Strasbourg, who as well as losing their manager, have also sold many of the players central to their success over the past couple of seasons. Club captain Emanuel Emegha has left, as has Valentin Barco, Julio Enciso is poised to follow, whilst Diego Moreira could also depart on a permanent deal before the closure of the transfer window. 

The club are, therefore, on a recruitment drive and Mitchell looks set to become the latest to arrive. The Costa Rican defender is set to join Le Racing in a deal worth €8m, Romano understands. The centre-back is en route to Alsace in order to undergo a medical and complete the deal. His signing comes in the context of a tough pre-season, where defensive frailties have been exposed.
