Sunderland have appointed Jack Bewley as a first-team analyst under Régis Le Bris, adding to the Academy of Light set-up.
According to Sunderland Echo, Bewley joins after serving as a first-team analyst intern at Rochdale in the 2025-26 season. He previously worked as a set-piece analyst intern at Norwich City, with earlier performance analysis experience at FC Marshalls.
His arrival forms part of wider work to strengthen football operations following promotion back to the Premier League. The club have already added staff across departments and have advertised for another senior analyst role.
Bewley studied Science and Football at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating with a 2:1, and will continue his development within Sunderland’s performance environment. He will combine the role with an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis at the University of Worcester.
He confirmed the move on LinkedIn, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn in an elite environment and outlining his intent to contribute while completing his studies.
Sunderland face Chelsea at the Stadium of Light this weekend in the Premier League, with a European place at stake for Le Bris’ side.
