Sunderland are preparing for a pivotal summer window after a landmark return to the Premier League, while several rivals have already begun business.
According to Sunderland Echo, Regis Le Bris led a seventh-place finish that sealed Europa League qualification, placing them in the league phase and adding at least eight extra fixtures. The window opens on Monday.
The Black Cats have been linked with Marseille midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, RB Salzburg winger Kerim Alajbegovic and Sweden defender Emil Holm.
For now, only departures are confirmed, with Bertrand Traore, Dan Neil, Dennis Cirkin and Niall Huggins leaving at the end of their contracts.
Across the division, Brentford have signed Jannik Schuster from Red Bull Salzburg for £16.5m, while Arsenal have Reiss Nelson back from loan. Brighton have released Solly March and James Milner, and sold Jeremy Sarmiento to Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee.
Newcastle have added Ewen Jaouen from Reims for £18.5m and sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £69.3m, with Kieran Trippier moving to Wolves after his contract ended. Tottenham have brought in Andy Robertson from Liverpool and Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth.
Elsewhere, Liverpool list several senior exits including Mohamed Salah by mutual termination and Andy Robertson to Tottenham, while Manchester United have seen Rasmus Hojlund join Napoli for £38m alongside a number of releases. Ipswich Town have signed Chuba Akpom from Ajax for £7m and Cedric Kipre from Reims for an undisclosed fee.
