Sunderland are being linked with a string of summer deals under Régis Le Bris and Florent Ghisolfi, with a £55.9m reshuffle claim emerging.
Media Foot reports that Sunderland are looking at Marseille midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, valued at about £3m. The 33-year-old is contracted to 2027 and, after a difficult 2025-26, wages are said to be a factor.
He has extensive top-flight experience with Monaco, Sevilla, Inter, Valencia and Atletico Madrid.
talkSPORT reports Valencia are considering Dan Neil, whose deal expires at the end of June after a loan at Ipswich Town. He would be a free transfer and is admired by Carlos Corberan.
Il Resto del Carlino claims Sunderland, Everton, Brighton and Brentford are monitoring Emil Holm. Juventus are not expected to trigger their option, reportedly around £13.9m, after a loan that brought one goal and four assists in 17 Serie A games.
TEAMtalk suggests Sunderland and Everton could revisit Abdul Fatawu after Leicester’s relegation to League One, with a price of £15m to £20m mooted. He is said to be ready for Premier League football.
Defensa Central claims Real Madrid are assessing Trai Hume as low-cost right-back cover and competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Dani Carvajal expected to leave. His price is put at about €22m, roughly £19m.
A move looks unlikely for now, yet Hume’s rise has been notable. He signed a long-term deal after promotion, tying him to Sunderland until 2030.
