Sunderland executives briefed fan groups that the club now has a £200m turnover with global reach. According to Sunderland Echo, the meeting came after a seventh-place Premier League finish under Regis Le Bris and Europa League qualification.

The ownership group, including Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori, outlined a significant summer investment programme in conjunction with Delaware, focused on club infrastructure.

Hospitality boxes are being refitted and any 30-year-old areas refurbished. Plans include improving the matchday experience, expanding safe standing and adding wow-factor entrances, alongside significant academy investment. LED upgrades are intended to boost both revenues and the fan experience.

Interim CEO Tom Burwell, director of football Florent Ghisolfi, and staff members Paul Kingsmore, Georgi Rusev, Steve Wood, Emily Jewitt and Chris Waters attended the mid-May Supporters’ Collective Meeting.

Fan groups present included the Branch Liaison Council, Red and White Army, the Senior Supporters Association and individual fans.

Recent organisational changes were presented as strategic rather than reactive. The club plans to scale its business and football operations prudently this summer, becoming a different organisation while retaining a strong link to the local community.
