Sunderland have set out how their new membership scheme and ticket ballots will work after sales opened at 10am on Tuesday. The club said in a Q&A that three tiers are available and explained the home and away processes.
Season Ticket Plus is for existing holders, offering bonus content, events and an away ballot. Black Cats Adult serves non-season ticket holders, adding content, events, access to the waiting list and a home ballot. Black Cats Academy mirrors Adult for children.
Europa League home access for season ticket holders is not linked to the membership scheme. Further details will follow in the coming weeks, and holders will use the usual cup process with a priority window to secure their seats.
Home tickets go first to Black Cats Adult and Academy members via a ballot. Any seats left then enter a general sale for non-members.
Ballot entrants state preferred areas or select no preference. Winners are allocated seats in line with those choices and must complete checkout to finalise the purchase.
One membership equals one ticket, so families or friends must all be members and link accounts to apply together. Group seating is subject to availability, and applicants can choose whether to proceed if adjacent seats are not offered.
Any U16 account must be linked to an adult member for ballot entries. If an U16 wins but is not next to the linked adult, supporters can contact the club to arrange a move before the game.
The Black Cat Points scheme continues unchanged, although 10% of away allocations will be reserved for a ballot. 90% of general admission away tickets are released in Phases 1 and 2, the ballot covers the remaining 10% depending on the fixture, and any left move to Phase 3 for points holders.
