Sunderland ‘to move’ for Tarik Muharemović after £29.9m De Ketelaere bid rejected | OneFootball

Sunderland have been credited with interest in Serie A pair Charles De Ketelaere and Tarik Muharemović, a package that could reach £64m. According to Sunderland Echo, a £29.9m offer for De Ketelaere has been rejected.

De Ketelaere is with Belgium at the World Cup and has two goals and one assist across four outings. The 25-year-old joined Atalanta in 2023, initially on loan from AC Milan before making the switch permanent.

A Club Brugge academy graduate, he has 32 goals and 31 assists in 142 appearances for Atalanta. The Black Cats are yet to add to their squad this summer.

Meanwhile, Regis Le Bris’ side are admirers of Sassuolo defender Muharemović. Sunderland and Bournemouth are monitoring the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, with former club Juventus also keeping tabs.

Sunderland are said to be making a strong move for the 23-year-old, who could cost up to £34.1m this summer.
