Sunderland’s transfer activity is expected to quicken in the final five weeks of the window, with the left side of defence a priority.

According to Sunderland Echo, Dennis Cirkin has already departed on a free and Arthur Masuaku is widely expected to leave, with Turkish club Konyaspor showing interest.

That leaves Régis Le Bris with Reinildo as the only recognised left back. The 32-year-old was a key figure last season and is now in the second and final year of his deal.

Noah Sadiki says he wants to increase his goal contributions this season after joining team-mates in Nashville on Monday. He trained alongside Robin Roefs, Brian Brobbey, Simon Adingra, Habib Diarra and Nilson Angulo following their World Cup duties.
