Midfielder Suzane Pires has been honoured for reaching 100 appearances for the Sereias da Vila. According to Diario Do Peixe, Ketlen, Santos women's all-time leading scorer, made a surprise visit to CT Rei Pelé on Friday 27 to present her with a plaque.
Pires hit the milestone in a 2-1 win over Grêmio at Vila Belmiro on 16 February, in the opening round of the Brasileiro Feminino A-1.
Ketlen is on maternity leave and has no date set to return to training. The pair are close friends.
She now has 10 goals from 101 appearances. The 33-year-old is under contract with the Peixe until December 2027, having rejoined for a second spell at the start of 2024.
Her first stint began in 2016 and she was part of the side that won the 2017 Brasileirão A-1. Born in São Paulo, she holds dual nationality and has represented Portugal since 2015.
She was called up for the 2022 European Championship. Her career includes US college soccer with the SCSU Owls and spells with Boston Breakers, Portuguesa de Desportos, Marítimo, Santos and Ferroviária.
