Tahirys Dos Santos to return with Metz reserves after Crans-Montana tragedy | OneFootball

Tahirys Dos Santos will make his comeback on Saturday evening with Metz’s reserve side, three months after suffering third-degree burns in the New Year’s Day nightclub fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, that killed 41 people.

According to L'Équipe, his agent Christophe Hutteau wrote on Instagram that the 19-year-old would feature against FC Balagne, praising his work, patience and determination.

The update followed a photo the defender shared from training two days earlier.

Dos Santos was among 115 people seriously injured when flames tore through Le Constellation in the Alpine resort. Most of those who died were minors.

He suffered burns across much of his body and the back of his head, underwent a skin graft, and has been advised to avoid unprotected sun exposure for at least one year.

His girlfriend, Coline, also survived the blaze after spending three weeks in a coma.
