Leeds United will face off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they look to grind out a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Whites suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa recently, which has drained their confidence ahead of this game.

Daniel Farke will opt for the 4-3-3 formation once again and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev could get the nod to impress from the start of this game.

Defence

Lucas Perri will function in goal for the Whites after conceding two goals in his last appearance. Joe Rodon will resume his defensive partnership with Pascal Struijk at the centre of the Leeds United backline as they look to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.

Jayden Bogle will fill in as the right-back, while Gabriel Gudmundsson hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if the Whites are to come away with something from the Etihad this weekend.

Jaka Bijol will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Ao Tanaka, Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev will make up Farke’s midfield as they look to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.

Sam Chambers will have to be content with a place on the bench as he awaits his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed. However, Sean Longstaff will be sidelined for this game because of a calf injury.

Attack

Noah Okafor will get a chance to shine as the left-sided wide player, while Brenden Aaronson looks to put in a good performance on the right flank.

Lukas Nmecha will spearhead Leeds’ attack up top. He would be eager to cause some headaches for the Man City centre-backs this Saturday afternoon.

Daniel James and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Whites are in need of a goal by then.
