What is an FPL Differential, and How Can We Find GW4 Differentials?

In Fantasy Premier League, a differential is a player with a low ownership percentage (under 10% of managers) who has the potential to score high points.

The idea is that, because so few people have them, any haul they get gives you a much bigger jump in rank compared to picking the highly owned “template” players.

They are your secret weapons, and we want to help you find them.

Ready? Let’s help you win your mini league with some differential picks!

Marcos Senesi – £4.6m

Already with a price rise, Bournemouth’s starting center back has 25 points in the first four gameweeks of the season, putting him in the top five for defenders in FPL. In GW3, Senesi picked up an assist, showing the potential for points from him really is there, alongside DEFCON.

With an ownership of just 5.0% and being a nailed-on starter for Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth, Senesi could be a smart rotation differential to pick up!

Lucas Paqueta – £5.9m

Despite rumours that he was leaving at the City Ground last gameweek, Paqueta showed his loyalty to Hammers supporters by scoring two goals in the first three games of 2025–26. He plays in an advanced role, giving the potential for many goal involvements, especially with top returner Jarrod Bowen.

With a tiny ownership of 2.2%, the Brazilian will have a much freer role in the West Ham side now that Mateus Fernandes has been brought into the engine room—could be a good investment.

Jaidon Anthony – £5.5m

Jaidon Anthony could be a clever squad option if you have some money spare in the bank. With two goals in his last two games, the Clarets winger also has solid xMins. Scott Parker seems to like what Anthony offers, starting him in all of Burnley’s first three Premier League games so far.

With an ownership of just 0.8%, Anthony could be a really interesting choice to fill in your fifth midfield option.

Josh King—£4.5m

No—not that one—Fulham’s exciting new prospect! Josh King could be this year’s Tyler Dibling but playing for a better team than Southampton and getting better output than the former Saint, who just signed for Everton. King even scored against Chelsea in GW3, but the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up.

With an ownership of just 2.2%, Fulham’s upcoming star could become a really interesting FPL asset, especially considering his high xMins in Marco Silva’s side. The fact he’s being chosen over stars such as Emile Smith-Rowe is telling!

Alexander Isak – £10.4m

Despite being the British transfer record signing, Liverpool’s new striker is owned by just 7.5% of FPL managers. Isak is a certainty to start in Arne Slot’s new attack, given the price of the signing.

Joining the most clinical attack in the league, Isak will be fed plenty of chances from fellow forwards Salah, Wirtz, and co. After an early decrease in price due to not playing for Newcastle, Isak will be nailed on for a rise in weeks to come. He could be an excellent option rather than going for Erling Haaland.
