Vincenzo Italiano commented after today’s defeat: “We were punished straight after making mistakes, and that’s been an ongoing issue for us this season. In the second half, we improved and created many more chances, but overall, we have not been consistent this year. We’re currently going through a spell where we’re not winning, but we’ll try to do better in the final four games. It’s not easy to deliver every season. Our European campaign was excellent, but in the league we haven’t been consistent enough.” 

After the game, Lewis Ferguson shared his thoughts: “The game got off on the wrong foot for us as we conceded far too early. After that, we responded with some control, but the goal at the end of the first half made things difficult again. In the second half, we created chances but weren’t able to convert them into goals. It’s disappointing because recently we’ve been conceding a lot of goals that stem from our own mistakes. We want to end the season on a high, and we have four crucial games to go. We’ll try to put in strong performances and pick up points, giving it our all until the end.”
