Sport Bild has reported on the contract situations of four Bayern Munich players, following the club’s extension of head coach Vincent Kompany‘s contract earlier this week.

Harry Kane has started the season in probably the best form of his life. In seven Bundesliga games, he has 12 goals and three assists with the Rekordmeister maintaining a 100% record. Off the pitch, the England captain is happy in Munich and has settled with his family.

Bayern plans to open talks with Kane in February over extending his contract, which is valid until 2027. Talks will begin once the release clause in the 32-year-old’s contract expires in January

Bayern’s other contract plans:

When it comes to Dayot Upamecano, the reason why extension talks have continued to drag on is the signing-on fee. The Frenchman will earn a base salary of €16m if he signs an extension. Due to the doubt surrounding Upamecano’s future, this is why Bayern are showing an interest in Nico Schlotterbeck and Marc Guehi.

Bayern are also going to begin talks with Manuel Neuer over extending his contract by another year. If this does happen, Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart, will be sold.

Finally, Serge Gnabry, who was deemed surplus to requirements at one point, could be given a new two-year extension. The 30-year-old is open to taking a pay cut on his current €17-20m salary to stay at the club.
