Internacional are weighing Paulo Pezzolano’s position after a grim 2026 run, with Tite emerging as a possible alternative. According to Coluna Do Fla, the board view the ex-Flamengo coach favourably due to his ties to the club, though there have been no talks.

The team were knocked out by Grêmio in the Copa do Brasil and have just one win in their last 14 games this year. Pezzolano’s side sit 18th in the Brasileirão on 25 points.

Their league record reads five wins, 10 draws and 11 defeats from 26 matches. A section of the fanbase has begun calling for the manager’s dismissal.

Tite previously led Internacional from June 2008 to October 2009, lifting the Copa Sudamericana in 2008 and the Campeonato Gaúcho in 2009. That stint strengthens his case among the options under review.

He took charge of Flamengo in October 2023, replacing Jorge Sampaoli, in his first job after leaving the Brazil national team. He oversaw 68 matches, with 41 wins, and won the Carioca. After a poor run, including a Libertadores elimination to Peñarol (URU), Flamengo chose to end his tenure and promoted Filipe Luís.

His most recent job was at Cruzeiro, where he managed 17 matches, recording eight wins, three draws and six defeats. Announced in December 2025, he was dismissed in March 2026 after a poor start to the Brasileirão.
