Trafford has served as a decent squad player for the Mancunian club but has struggled to earn regular first-team starts for them this season. The 23-year-old has only made 13 appearances for Man City in this campaign so far, conceding ten goals and keeping six clean sheets in the process across multiple competitions.

The English keeper needs to earn regular playing time if he wants to get his career back on track. Hence, Spurs could offer him an escape route as they can provide him a regular first-team spot next season.
