Tottenham ‘to hold talks’ with Roberto De Zerbi over five-year deal after reported U-turn | OneFootball

Tottenham’s search for a new head coach has taken a twist, with Roberto De Zerbi now open to joining immediately and talks expected over a five-year deal, according to Sky Italy.

Spurs had been keen on the former Brighton and Marseille manager, but it was thought he would not return to football until next season after leaving Marseille in February.

Tottenham looked to ex-Juventus boss Igor Tudor after sacking Thomas Frank. Spurs announced on Sunday that Tudor had left by mutual consent after taking just one point from a brief time in charge.

A 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the final game before the March international break left Spurs fourth-bottom and one point above the dropzone, three points adrift of 15th-placed Leeds.

If agreed, the move would mark a clear U-turn in their hunt for a new boss as they seek stability.
