Michael Olise is considered untouchable at FC Bayern. But transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now makes it clear: The record champions cannot completely rule out a move to Real Madrid—but only under one condition.
Speculation surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid shows no signs of abating. While FC Bayern is determined to keep the French national team player and wants to offer him a new contract soon, interest from Real Madrid remains persistent.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has now assessed the current situation—and explains why a move this summer, while extremely unlikely, is not entirely out of the question.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Romano emphasized that Bayern Munich’s position remains unchanged. “I can confirm that the message from Bayern remains the same: They want to keep him and are standing firm on their position. They view Olise as an absolutely crucial part of their squad, both now and in the future. They want to offer him a new contract right now,” the Italian explained.
Nevertheless, there is one scenario that could make a transfer possible.
“The only way to open the door for a departure this summer or at any other time is for Michael Olise to say, ‘Let me go.’”
According to Romano, however, Olise has not yet expressed this desire.

Real Madrid is reportedly preparing for exactly this scenario. According to Romano, the club would take immediate action should Olise express a desire to leave.
“If that happens and someone from Olise’s camp tells Real Madrid, ‘We can make a deal,’ Real Madrid will be ready. Real is ready to make an offer,” said Romano.
Whether such a transfer could actually happen, however, would still depend largely on FC Bayern. “Can Madrid pull it off? That depends on Bayern. So far, their door is closed,” the transfer expert clarified.
Meanwhile, at Säbener Straße, plans are in place to begin contract extension talks with Olise after the World Cup. The 24-year-old is set to be tied to the club long-term and will be among the record champions’ top earners in the future.
Thus, the situation remains clear: FC Bayern does not want to let Olise go under any circumstances. Should that change, the initiative would have to come from the player himself—but so far, there are no signs of that happening.
