Marcus Rashford could leave Manchester United this summer with Tottenham Hotspur being rumoured as a potential destination for the 28-year-old forward. Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona having been exiled by former coach Ruben Amorim and returned to Old Trafford when the La Liga champions failed to take up his £26m option.
Michael Carrick is an admirer of Rashford and could reintegrate him into the first team squad but there are a few Premier League clubs in line for his signature. United, meanwhile, could be running out of time to meet Roma’s deadline to sign France international Manu Kone, according to reports in Italy.
Elsewhere, Liverpool have agreed terms with Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to reports in France, but are still a considerable distance away from agreeing a fee for the French international. Barcola wants to join Liverpool, according to L’Equipe, but the European champions will demand £140m this summer as the Reds are now set to open talks with his club.
In one of the bigger stories of the summer Vinicius Jr has made it clear that he wants to remain at Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports despite interest from Arsenal. The Gunners have been plotting an audacious move for the 26-year-old Brazil star while he has one year remaining on his contract, but Vinicius Jr wants to agree new terms at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have opened talks with Manchester City over signing midfielder Rodri, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Ballon d’Or winner returned to his best as he led Spain to the World Cup and received the award for player of the tournament.
Previous reports stated the Spain hero was not one of Florentino Perez’s top transfer targets, but now things appear to have changed.
The 30-year-old has also been a long-term target for Real Madrid and the Spanish giants are now set to push for a move this summer.
Rodri, who has one year left on his Manchester City contract, is said to be keen on a return to Spain and it would be a popular move for president Perez to make.

talkSPORT's Alex Crook is backing Marcus Rashford to excel under Roberto De Zerbi should he secure a move to Tottenham.
De Zerbi understood to be keen on the winger and is looking to boost Spurs’ attacking options having already signed Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali this summer.
United could reportedly accept an offer of around £30m, though it is Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wages at Old Trafford that remain a stumbling block.
Understandably, the player seems reluctant to accept reduced terms which could mean another season playing at Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has agreed to join Liverpool, according to a report in the French sports daily L’Equipe.
It is undoubtedly a boost to Liverpool ahead of potentially facing competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal for the France international, but a deal remains some way off.
That’s because PSG have set a price tag of £140m on the 23-year-old, and do not want to sell - especially as Real Madrid look likely to sign RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.
As previously reported, PSG are using the Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson deals as a benchmark, while Barcola remains under contract with the European champions.
When asked about his targets this summer, Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola said a wide player was top of his list.
Now, Sky Sports add that Liverpool are set to begin talks with PSG and are set to prepare an offer. The Reds will need to negotiate PSG down from their asking price.

Jordan Henderson has left Brentford by mutual consent ahead of an imminent move to Chelsea.
The 36-year-old joined the Bees from Ajax last summer and played 34 times in 2025/26.
Speaking to the club's official website, Henderson said: “I leave Brentford with a lot of gratitude for the opportunity the club gave me, and for the support and care shown to me and my family from day one.
“Coming back to the Premier League was really important to me, and Brentford gave me that chance. I’ll always be thankful for that.
“I hope I was able to play my part in helping the team through an important period for the club. We achieved a lot together last season, and it’s something everyone involved should be proud of.
“Brentford is a special football club. It’s ambitious, progressive and full of good people. From the owners and leadership, to the coaching staff, the players and everyone behind the scenes, it’s been a privilege to be part of it.
“Most of all, I’d like to thank the supporters. Their backing never changed, and the connection they have with the club is clear to see. They care deeply about Brentford and they support the team in the right way every step of the journey."
Jordan Henderson has cancelled his contract with Brentford, while Danny Welbeck has a medical booked in as both near shock moves to Chelsea.
Two transfers nobody would have predicted this summer, Lawrence Ostlere looks into the strategy, and the flaw that comes with it:
The surprising pursuit of several players in their 30s this summer shows Chelsea have learnt lessons from a calamitous season dogged by inexperienced and ill-discipline – but will it fix the problem?

Arsenal will have to turn to other transfer targets after it was reported by Sky Sports that Real Madrid do not want to sell Vinicius Jr this summer.
Real Madrid are reportedly confident that the Brazil winger, who emerged as a shock target for the Gunners as they aim to strengthen their attack, will agree a new contract after entering the final year of his deal.
AS also reported that Vinicius, who is out of contract in 2027, will resume talks on a new deal once he returns from his summer holiday.
Real Madrid’s agreement to sign RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande also added to the speculation - but the club want Vinicius to extend his deal, too.
