Al Ahly SC settled for a share of the spoils in their CAF Champions League clash against Moroccan side AS FAR in Rabat on Friday night.

The home team broke the deadlock through Mouhcine Bouriga in the 37th minute, before club captain Rabie Hrimat missed a penalty moments later.

Ahly leveled matters courtesy of a goal from Trezeguet, who pounced on an assist from Tunisian midfielder Ben Ali Romdhane in the 68th minute.

The Egyptian giants are still in control of Group B as they are at the top with four points accumulated from two league outings, while AS FAR are in third place with one point.

Meanwhile, Tanzanian heavyweights Young Africans have emerged as early surprise candidates, currently sitting second and level on points with Ahly.

Rounding up the group is Josef Zinnbauer's JS Kabylie. The former Orlando Pirates coach has a huge task on his hands as the Algerian club sits bottom of the standings.
