Trincão and Quenda punish Rio Ave as Sporting CP rise to second | OneFootball

Sporting CP beat Rio Ave 4-1 in Vila do Conde to climb from third to second in Liga Portugal.

In the 12th minute, Diogo Bezerra fired the hosts ahead from Tamble Monteiro's pass. Luis Suárez converted from the spot (35.), then Gustavo Mancha put through his own net (42.) as the Leões turned it around before the interval.

Rui Silva kept the Leões in front with two sharp saves from Monteiro before the break.

After the restart, Francisco Petrasso received a second yellow and was sent off (52.). Trincão then drilled in from Ousmane Diomande's pass (66.).

Ryan Guilherme received a second yellow and was sent off (85.). Substitute Geovany Quenda capped the victory with a rasping finish from Maximiliano Araújo's assist (90.).
