England have received a triple injury boost ahead of their World Cup quarter-final tie against Norway on Saturday.

There were concerns about the availability of Reece James, Declan Rice and Marc Guehi for the knockout game, but they have trained, per the Times.

James has been absent since picking up a hamstring injury during England’s second group match against Ghana.

The national team’s defensive problems intensified after Jarell Quansah’s red card in Sunday’s win over Mexico, ruling him out for the next fixture.

However, manager Thomas Tuchel has received a timely boost with James returning to training.

Djed Spence and Ezri Konsa are also options at right-back, but Tuchel will probably pick the Chelsea star for Saturday’s clash.

Guehi and Rice missed the last training session. The Manchester City defender had a minor hamstring issue, and the Arsenal star was ill.

The duo have since rejoined their teammates in training, as England prepare to face Norway in a tricky game in Miami.

The Three Lions were unconvincing in the group stage. But confidence will likely be sky-high after they survived Mexico’s late onslaught with 10 men to win 3-2 in the last-16.

However, underestimating the task ahead would be a grave mistake, as the Vikings also boast quality in their ranks and defeated Brazil in the previous round.
