England trio not involved in team training | OneFootball

Reece James, Marc Guehi and Declan Rice did not train with their England team-mates on Wednesday. 

The trio followed their own individual programmes following England’s gruelling 3-2 win over Mexico in the World Cup round of 16.

James was absent from the game altogether as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem which has forced him to miss the last two games.

There are hopes he could return for England’s quarter-final clash with Norway on Saturday, but that will depend on how his recovery goes this week.

Jordan Henderson was also not in team training, having undergone surgery on an arm injury suffered after England’s win over Mexico.

The Brentford midfielder is expected to miss the rest of the World Cup.
