Turkish media: Galatasaray reports to Ajax, €6.5 million on the table | OneFootball

Galatasaray have reportedly approached Ajax to discuss the signing of Ahmetcan Kaplan, according to Turkish transfer journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Kaplan has been linked with a move to Galatasaray for a while, and recently, the Turkish club made it clear they wanted to do business this summer. The centre-back’s contract runs until the summer of 2027.

Discussions between Kaplan’s entourage and Galatasaray regarding personal terms have begun. Ajax reportedly want €6.5 million for Kaplan’s services.

Back home, Kaplan is considered one of Turkey’s “greatest defensive talents”. Although he played for the Turkish national team during the last international break, at Ajax, he couldn’t consistently make the starting lineup this season. After struggling with a year-long knee injury, he played in 15 matches for the Amsterdam side.
