European football’s governing body have been left less than impressed with the latest actions of La Liga.
That’s according to journalist Arancha Rodríguez, who highlights a visit to Real Madrid’s training ground as the source of contention on the part of UEFA.
La Liga on Monday sent a delegation to Valdebebas.
This came to carry out a surprise doping test, in the aftermath of Los Blancos’ weekend victory over Real Sociedad.
The visit culminated in Xabi Alonso’s latest training session being delayed by an hour.
And according to the aforementioned Arancha Rodríguez, the timing of as much has not gone down at all well at UEFA:
‘UEFA are upset because it happened on the eve of a Champions League match, instead of any other day.’
Real Madrid are primed to kickstart their European campaign on Tuesday night, in a meeting with Olympique Marseille at the Santiago Bernabéu.
