Union Berlin's Rani Khedira 'to represent' Tunisia | OneFootball

Sky Germany have confirmed that Union Berlin defensive midfielder Rani Khedira will represent Tunisia at international level.

Born in Stuttgart, the 32-year-old qualifies through his father, who is from the north african country. He previously played for Germany from U-15 through to U-19.

He could make his debut in March, with Tunisia scheduled to face Haiti in a friendly.

Tunisia first approached Khedira in 2015, but he turned the move down then, stressing his long involvement with Germany’s youth sides and his comfort in that set-up.

With his career entering its twilight, the 2026 World Cup is clearly an aim for Khedira. His older brother, Sami, featured at the 2014 World Cup, helping Germany win the tournament in Brazil.
