Diego da Cruz Lopes halved the deficit in the 80th minute with a left-footed strike from outside the box, as Corinthians lost 2-1 at Mirassol.
Dieguinho took charge on his introduction, drilling low into the bottom left after Zakaria Labyad found him on the edge of the area (80.).
He kept asking for the ball and went close again, seeing a late effort from range blocked in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.
The 18-year-old finished with two attempts, one on target, plus nine accurate passes from 10 and three successful final third deliveries, giving Timão extra punch between the lines.
His direct running and quick release unsettled the hosts in the closing stages, ensuring Coringão carried the threat to the final whistle.
Timão visit Santa Fe in the CONMEBOL Libertadores next, while Mirassol host LDU Quito in the same competition.
