Valencia CF Mestalla open season at Puchades against newly promoted Mallorca B | OneFootball

Valencia CF Mestalla begin their 2026/27 campaign on Sunday 6 September, hosting RCD Mallorca B at the Antonio Puchades from 11:00. According to Superdeporte, entry is free for VCF members and Valencia CF season-ticket holders.

Óscar Sánchez’s side reach the opener after a positive pre-season of three wins, two draws and one defeat, the loss coming against Nàstic de Tarragona, who compete in Primera Federación.

Sánchez leads a refreshed Mestalla with a strong core retained. The squad blends last season’s regulars with several graduates from VCF Juvenil A, champions of Group VII in the División de Honor. He says confidence is high but the focus is on improving.

Mallorca B arrive newly promoted to the new Group III of Segunda Federación. The coach views promoted teams as particularly dangerous in the first eight to 10 matches, and notes this is an atypical B team with some players born in 1999 and 2000.

He anticipates a demanding, closely fought contest, while backing his players to respond. Making home advantage count is a priority and the squad feel comfortable there. Mestalla will face opponents mainly from the Comunitat Valenciana, Islas Baleares and Región de Murcia.
