Juventus sent Vasilije Adzic out on loan to Sassuolo this season, and he will have a chance to show them what they are missing when both clubs meet in Serie A this weekend.

There is no doubt Adzic is one of the finest talents in Italian football at the moment, and Juve know this, which explains why the Bianconeri pushed to send him out on loan.

In Turin, he would not get the minutes his development needs, so he had to move to a smaller club. That has proven to be a brilliant decision so far for the attacker.

He has performed well for Sassuolo and will likely start the match against the Bianconeri, having started all their league games so far. He has scored a goal and provided an assist in three matches.

Adzic ready for Juventus challenge

Juve’s visit to the Mapei Stadium presents a different kind of challenge for the home side, but they will relish the opportunity to get a result against one of the big boys in the league.

Adzic will be particularly motivated to make an impression, having spent two years with Juventus before moving to Sassuolo on loan. His familiarity with the players and the club could make the fixture an unusual experience for him.

Adzic wants Sassuolo victory

“It will be a very strange match for me because until a month ago I was playing with Juventus players. I’ve been with them for two years. I know them well, I know everyone and I know the whole environment.

“It will be a very special match for me, but I’ll try to beat them and do everything I can to get the points. That’s why we play football: to win and do our best.”

Adzic will now look to build on his promising start with Sassuolo by producing another strong performance against the club that still holds his registration.
