Vitor Pereira’s Nottingham Forest future has come under focus amid interest from Al-Hilal, who are allegedly ready to offer a lucrative package. According to Nottingham Post, the Saudi club have identified the head coach as a target.

Pereira has 12 months left on his contract and has been discussing fresh terms with Forest, having been appointed in February. He became the club’s fourth head coach of the 2025/26 campaign after succeeding Sean Dyche.

The 57-year-old steadied a turbulent season, guiding the Reds away from relegation and securing Premier League survival. He also led an eye-catching Europa League run that ended in the semi-finals.

Pereira has previous experience in Saudi Arabia, managing Al-Ahli in 2013/14 and later spending 10 months in charge of Al-Shabab.

Al-Hilal’s pursuit of a new manager comes as Simone Inzaghi is reportedly expected to leave after one season.

Before external interest emerged, renewal talks at Forest had been positive. After the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on the final day, Pereira signalled that finalising an agreement should not be difficult, and pre-season planning and recruitment discussions have taken place on the basis of him remaining in charge.
