Palmeiras beat Fluminense 2-1 in Barueri, with Vitor Roque and Allan on target, and head coach Abel Ferreira sent off for dissent.
According to Globo.com, goalkeeper Carlos Miguel was the standout, producing several important saves across both halves, including efforts from Savarino, Lucho Acosta, Martinelli and Otávio. Vitor Roque impressed too, drawing eight fouls and making four tackles. Allan made five tackles and completed 92% of his passes.
Roque won a penalty on 7 minutes, then converted to open the scoring. Allan doubled the lead from the right soon after, creating the chance by skipping past two defenders. Piquerez and Khellven made timely interventions before the interval.
Fluminense halved the deficit following a messy sequence begun by a stray pass from Flaco López, with Marlon Freitas involved as he tried to shield a ball near the byline and a misjudged header from Gustavo Gómez preceding the finish.
After the break, Murilo saw a firm header saved by Fábio and changes steadied Palmeiras, with Giay and Jhon Arias introduced on 12 minutes. Arias was booed by the visiting support and quickly backed by the home crowd, then teed up Roque to rattle the bar.
Gómez later picked out Ramón Sosa for a chance that Fábio saved, and the Paraguayan also struck the woodwork. Palmeiras threatened on the counter as Fluminense pressed, but the score remained 2-1.
