Vitória ‘to sign’ Corinthians defender Cacá on loan | OneFootball

Vitória have reached agreement with Corinthians to take defender Cacá on loan until the end of the year, a move that would make him their 12th signing of 2026.

Canal do Dinâmico reports that the deal includes an obligation to buy if Vitória remain in Série A and the centre-back reaches a set appearance tally. The Bahia club are now waiting on the player’s representatives to complete the final details.

Head coach Jair Ventura recommended the signing.

At 26, Cacá would compete with Riccieli, Edu, Camutanga, Neris, Zé Marcos and Luan Cândido, plus youngsters Edenilson and Diogo Silva. He has one appearance this season.

The defender came through Cruzeiro’s academy and had spells in Japan and at Athletico before joining Corinthians in 2024.

Corinthians paid R$ 24 million for 90% of his economic rights and hold a contract with him until the end of 2028. He has 71 appearances, eight goals and one assist for the São Paulo club, and has won the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa do Brasil.
