As we enter day 29 on the January transfer window, Chelsea have only managed to officially confirm one single transfer deal so far.
We now have just 5 days remaining in this window and the chances of Chelsea doing anything worthwhile is decreasing by the moment.
All the talk before the window was about how many outgoings they want to get done, yet here we are with just days left, and the likes of Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka still in the squad and no signs of them being sold anytime soon.
There’s many other players in this squad who clearly want out and to be playing more regular first team football, yet they are going to be forced to stay at the club mainly because Chelsea are penny pinching and setting transfer fees that are way too high for the players they are trying to sell.
The Cesare Casadei transfer saga has been dull and has gone on all month. And Chelsea are still trying to squeeze out every last penny on a deal to sign him.

A penny for the thoughts of Casadei, who has been made to wait all month to sort a move for his future because Chelsea have been over-negotiating the finer details of the deal.
Italian report Gianluca Di Marzio says that Lazio and Torino are ‘waiting for the decision’ of Chelsea on Casadei.
He reports that Torino is still waiting on Chelsea to give their green light for the Cesare Casadei sale, and now Lazio is pushing again on the player side. Both clubs are convinced they are leading the race.
This is just typical of how Chelsea operate these days and why so many supporters are turning on them and things are getting toxic.
