Watford have dismissed Ed Still as their head coach after the club’s dismal end to the Championship season.
The Belgian boss was appointed in February on a two-and-half-year contract after the resignation of Javi Gracia.
But Still lasted less than three months in his role at Vicarage Road.
Watford confirmed the 35-year-old’s sacking in a club statement on Sunday that read: “Watford FC have this morning parted company with head coach Ed Still.
“First-team coach Karim Belhocine has also left the club.
“We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
The announcement will come as no surprise for anyone, as Watford’s performances and results have been awful under Still.
The Hornets were 11th in league standings at the time of his appointment.
But they won just three of their 15 matches during the 35-year-old’s short reign.
The Hertfordshire based outfit lost their last five league fixtures to finish 16th in the table.
Still was expected to be sacked no matter the outcome against Coventry City at Vicarage Road on the final day of the season.
The hosts produced an abject display in front of their home crowd and lost the contest 4-0.
Watford will now start searching for their 12th head coach since the end of the 2021-22 season.
They have been playing in the Championship since being relegated from the Premier League in 2022.
The Hornets haven’t come close to returning to the English top-flight since then, finishing 11th, 15th, 14th and now 16th.
