Watford host Leicester City in the Championship at Vicarage Road on Saturday, 21 March 2026, with the hosts eyeing momentum for a late play-off push and the visitors seeking points to bolster their survival bid.
Watford welcome Leicester City with recent head-to-head trends favouring the visitors. The Foxes won the reverse fixture 2-1 on Boxing Day and also took both league meetings last season.
The Hornets have two wins, two defeats and a draw from their last five, including a 3-1 home victory over Wrexham. The Foxes have one win in five, following a 2-0 success against Bristol City before a 3-1 home defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
Watford are without defenders Jeremy Ngakia and Jeremy Petris, midfielder Hector Matthew Kyprianou and forwards Kwadwo Baah, Rocco Vata and Othmane Maamma, plus Stephen Mfuni. The Foxes miss goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, defenders Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen, and midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The Hornets' supply could be key. They have delivered 518 open-play crosses at 19.50% accuracy and scored 50 league goals, with Luca Kjerrumgaard on nine and Imran Louzan providing eight assists. The Foxes have conceded 60 with only four clean sheets, so threats from Abdul Fatawu, who has nine goals and seven assists, and Jordan James, on 10 league goals, may be pivotal.
A win would move the Hornets to 58 points and keep them close to the top six. Victory would take the Foxes to 41 and could cut the gap to safety as they try to climb out of the relegation places.
