West Brom owner Shilen Patel attended Friday's draw with Wrexham, continuing his regular matchday presence since buying the club.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, he has tried to take in as many fixtures as possible at home and away, and returned to the UK for the meeting with the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side.

The stalemate between the US-owned clubs came ahead of Albion's trip to Blackburn Rovers on Monday. Whether Patel remains in the UK to attend is unclear.

Albion will be backed by 7,500 supporters at Ewood Park after receiving a bumper allocation from the hosts.

Patel drew praise from fans after the recent release of the club's accounts.

The accounts showed losses reduced to £17m. They also recorded £31m invested by Patel across the 16 months between his takeover and the end of the period, while his ownership group covered £5.2m of interest on MSD loans taken in the final months of the disastrous Lai regime. The MSD loans, originally £20m and £8m in 2022 and 2023, now stand at £25m with a repayment deadline of December 2026.
