West Brom ‘progressing talks’ for Morgan as Stewart signs | OneFootball

West Brom are said to be progressing talks to sign Jimmy-Jay Morgan permanently, while Barney Stewart has signed from Falkirk on a long-term deal.

According to BBC Sport, Morgan is expected to leave Chelsea for a nominal fee including a substantial sell-on clause, with his contract up next year. The 20-year-old hit 12 goals and provided three assists for Peterborough in League One last term, across 34 appearances.

Albion have completed a £1.3 million move for Stewart on a four-year contract, continuing his rapid rise since his professional debut last year. He scored 19 in his first full season, including 10 in the Scottish Premiership after a recall from a loan at Dunfermline.

Walsall have made striker Andrew Dallas their first signing under new head coach Lee Grant. The 26-year-old has agreed a two-year deal and will officially join once his Barnsley contract ends on 1 July. He scored 17 on loan at Southend United last season.

Aston Villa have reportedly entered the race for Lille striker Mathias Fernandez-Pardo, who is on World Cup duty with Belgium in the United States. Sacha Tavolieri reports that Villa scouts are in the country to watch several players, including the 21-year-old.

Fernandez-Pardo recorded eight goals and seven assists in 41 appearances last season. He also came on late in Belgium’s 1-1 draw with Egypt in their World Cup opener on Monday.

Newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City are keen on former Wolves loanee Angel Gomes, TEAMTALK reports. The Sky Blues, Hull City and other Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation. Marseille are said to be open to a sale, and Gomes wants a return to the Premier League after a loan at Wolves in the second half of last season.
