West Brom ‘progressing talks’ for Morgan as Stewart signs | OneFootball

According to BBC Sport, West Brom are progressing talks with Chelsea to sign Jimmy-Jay Morgan permanently. Albion have also completed a £1.3million move for striker Barney Stewart from Falkirk.

Morgan, 20, is out of contract next year and is expected to leave for a nominal fee with a substantial sell-on clause. He hit 12 goals and three assists in 34 League One outings on loan at Peterborough last season.

Stewart, 22, has signed a four-year deal at The Hawthorns. He scored 19 in his first full professional season, including 10 in the Scottish Premiership after a recall from Dunfermline.

Walsall have unveiled striker Andrew Dallas as Lee Grant’s first signing. The 26-year-old has agreed a two-year contract and will join on 1 July after his Barnsley deal expires. He scored 17 on loan at Southend last term.

Aston Villa have entered the chase for Lille forward Mathias Fernandez-Pardo, who is on World Cup duty with Belgium. Sacha Tavolieri reports club scouts are in the United States to watch several players, including the 21-year-old. He registered eight goals and seven assists in 41 appearances last season and featured late in Belgium’s 1-1 draw with Egypt on Monday.

TEAMTALK reports Coventry are keen on former Wolves loanee Angel Gomes, with Hull and other Premier League clubs monitoring him, and that Marseille are willing to sell while the player wants a Premier League return after his Wolves loan last season.
