Change is coming at The Hawthorns this summer after a dismal 2025/26, with six senior contracts expiring at the end of June.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, director of football operations Ian Pearce, technical director Dominic Price and boss James Morrison must decide those futures.

Karlan Grant’s six years have been mixed. He has proved in recent seasons he remains effective at this level, and was absent through injury from January. As with others, finances could dictate, and he will have interest as he turns 29 in September, so it could be time to move on. Verdict: leave.

Daryl Dike’s four-and-a-half years have been ravaged by injury, so an exit looks the likely outcome. He did return to fitness and, under Morrison, managed a run in the side, but reliability remains a concern. Verdict: leave.

Jed Wallace has been an exemplary captain, and losing him would hurt the dressing room. His form before injury after Morrison’s arrival offers a case to keep the 32-year-old. Verdict: leave.

A clean sweep of attacking departures would be a rebuild challenge, but one that could suit the club. Josh Maja’s three years have also been hit by injury. Verdict: leave.

Back-up goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith, 30, has been on loan at play-off outfit Middlesbrough since January without playing a minute. Verdict: leave.

Max O’Leary arrived from Bristol City in January on a short-term deal to address goalkeeping issues and has done little wrong. Verdict: stay.
