West Brom have stepped up preparations for a bank holiday double header, with injury-hit £3.3m signing Tammer Bany involved in training and Karlan Grant moving closer to fitness.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Bany was with team-mates this week and also featured on Instagram alongside Grant during a session. The former Rangers recruit has managed only a handful of substitute outings since arriving more than a year ago, and a comeback earlier this season was halted by injury.
Grant, out since the draw at Derby earlier this year, is back in training and is set for a mid April return.
Albion’s form has improved, with two wins and two draws lifting them four points clear of the drop zone. James Morrison had a handful of players away on international duty last weekend, though most of the squad have remained at the training base.
Wrexham visit The Hawthorns on Friday, before Albion travel to relegation rivals Blackburn on Monday.
Callum Styles has also trained with his team-mates despite a Hungary call-up for the international break. Hungary beat Slovenia in a friendly at the weekend and face Greece tonight, but Styles has not travelled and has stayed with Albion.
