West Ham United have parted ways with manager Graham Potter following a disappointing spell in charge, according to The Athletic.
Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui on a two-and-a-half-year deal in January.
The Englishman was expected to steady the club, but his reign has been marked by inconsistency and poor results.
West Ham were 14th in the table when Potter was appointed. They finished the season in the same position, despite him overseeing the final 18 matches.
The team secured only five victories during that stretch. His decision-making during matches and lack of tactical flexibility were major issues.
West Ham have won just once this season. The lack of progress left the board with little confidence that results would improve.
West Ham have already started planning for a new manager to guide them forward. Talks have reportedly been held with Nuno Espirito Santo and Slaven Bilic as possible candidates.
Both men have experience in the Premier League and are options who could quickly restore order to a troubled campaign.
This was Potter’s first role since being dismissed by Chelsea in April 2023. His spell at Stamford Bridge lasted only 31 matches before he was sacked.
The disappointment at West Ham now adds to what has been a difficult period in his managerial career.
West Ham supporters will now await the announcement of a successor, as the club looks to salvage their season.
