As is standard in modern football, there is a range of stadium names within League One, from those with historical roots to some implemented by sponsorship deals.

The names of a stadium can often be a soft spot among supporters, with those of a traditional nature struggling to warm to names like the Toughsheet Community Stadium or the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

However, money is money, and it is commonplace for grounds to possess such names so that they can generate long-term income for the club to invest in other areas.

But what if AI had its way with naming League One grounds? Well, here is what popular AI-based chat service ChatGPT thinks each club's arena should be named.

AFC Wimbledon - Wandlebank Stadium

The Dons moved to their new home, the Cherry Red Records Stadium at Plough Lane, in 2020, returning to the area where they traditionally played football.

However, if ChatGPT had its way, then AFC Wimbledon would be playing at the Wandelbank Stadium, which is a tribute to the small river that runs right next to the modern arena.

Barnsley - Colliers Arena

Oakwell has been the home of Barnsley since 1888, and the arena is now often referred to as the Oakwell Stadium, having undergone major developments in the 1990s.

ChatGPT would like the Tykes' historical home to be known as the Colliers Arena, though, which is a tribute to the city's mining heritage, which dates back to the 1800s.

Blackpool - Tower Coast Stadium

Originally known as Gamble's Field, the Tangerines' stadium became Bloomfield Road in 1901 following the merger of Blackpool FC and South Shore FC.
