Red Bull Racing F1 star Isack Hadjar provides the answer

Our new home jersey for the 2026/27 season is here – and there's more physics behind it than you might initially think. The inspiration: the Doppler effect, coined by the Salzburg physicist Christian Doppler. Formula 1 driver Isack Hadjar of Red Bull Racing demonstrates how this principle manifests itself in practice in a video featuring his car.

The dynamic elements on the front of our new kit capture the movement of sound waves – the pitch changes you hear, for example, when a Formula 1 car passes by. Our Red Bulls will give the kit its debut this weekend in their cup tie in Oberwart.
