Wolves’ 4-0 loss at West Ham has left them facing the prospect of relegation being confirmed this weekend. Hopes of a late escape have largely faded.

They visit Leeds for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday. According to ExpressAndStar.com, defeat at Elland Road would leave them unable to catch Nottingham Forest or Leeds, and relegation could then be confirmed by results elsewhere.

It could become official later on Saturday when Spurs host Brighton at 5.30pm. A Spurs win would take them to 33 points, 16 clear of Wolves with 15 still to play across the remaining five games.

If Wolves lose and Spurs do not win, Rob Edwards’ side could still go on Monday when West Ham travel to Crystal Palace. The Hammers would need only a point at Selhurst Park to reach 33 and relegate Wolves.

A draw at Leeds would move Wolves to 18 points, and they would still be relegated if West Ham won. A Wolves win would prevent confirmation this weekend, taking them to 20 points and keeping them 15 points away with 15 to play.
